Ruff & Tuff vehicles can also be made Street Legal with optional accessories. This designation means the vehicles can be driven on streets with posted speed limits of 35 miles per hour or lower, according to Federal LSV regulations
The advanced technology that Ruff & Tuffs feature includes “green batteries.” The AGM Dry Cell Discover® traction batteries provide a clean and environmentally friendly alternative to deep cycle, lead acid batteries, and require zero maintenance, are 99.9% emission free, and have no memory, allowing these batteries to last 3 to 5 times longer than deep cycle, lead acid batteries.
The Ruff & Tuff Cruiser LSV and Cruiser Limo are ideal for transporting people and hauling cargo in neighborhoods and on large tracts of land. Commercial owners use these vehicles for transporting supplies and visitors around campuses, manufacturing plants, real estate development sites, farms, and more. According to the AARA, Ruff & Tuff Electric Vehicles qualify for a 10% tax credit.
The two- and four-wheel drive Hunters are built to run quiet and withstand rugged terrain, steep hills, and creek beds - perfect for sportsmen. Optional accessories include gun and bow racks.
